Clara Matimba, born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe; mother of three daughters and one son-in-law. Received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Dallas Baptist University, a licensed Vocational Nurse. From near death experience at the age of 9, to a child soldier in my teens to a diplomat in my 20s then transitioned to the United States where I started a family. I have worked as a Database Analyst for a medical insurance company, Access Database Developer for a financial institution and has been working in the telecommunications industry for the last 17 years. I enjoy volunteer work, feeding the homeless and mentoring as a big sister. My passion is to see others excel no matter their circumstances. I’m an advocate for healthy living and exercising; an avid traveler, adventurous and enjoys life to the fullest, knowing that my life and these accomplishments would not be possible without God.
“I will not allow the opinions of people who didn’t see my tears stop my happiness. I don’t owe anyone an explanation to be happy.”
